Base areas
Three bases, one mountain
Breck has three base areas, at the bottom of Peaks 7, 8 and 9. Peaks 6 and 10 don't have bases of their own, so you reach them from the lifts above. Where you start makes a real difference to your morning. Peak 8 is the busy hub, Peak 9 is closest to Main Street and best for learning, and Peak 7 is the quiet one.
All three are linked by a free skier shuttle that takes about 10 to 15 minutes, and the free gondola connects Peaks 7 and 8 to town.

More about Breckenridge town
Ski & snowboard rental
Book online before you arrive and pick your gear up in town the evening before. The morning rush at the base shops can eat your first hour, and booking ahead can be cheaper.
Lift tickets & the Epic Pass
Breck is on the Epic Pass. Buying a ticket at the window on the day is the most expensive way up the hill, so buy ahead online or look at an Epic Day Pass if you're here for a few days.
The Friday snow email
One short email a week in season: what fell, what's open, and where to ride this weekend.
