Peak 9
C-Chair
A long climb on a double.
The C-Chair is a two-seater with 1,253 feet of vertical, more than most of the SuperChairs. If you're heading up Peak 9, Mercury or Beaver Run will get you there much faster.

Know your lifts
Breck has 12 high-speed chairlifts, all called SuperChairs, plus the gondola. Everything else is a fixed-grip chair or a surface lift, and the difference matters. A long ride on a slow double can take as long as two laps on a six-pack.
The resort doesn't publish ride times for every lift, so we've sorted them by type and listed the vertical each one climbs, from the official trail map. More vertical on a slow chair means a long, cold ride.

12 high-speed lifts
Every SuperChair at Breck is a detachable lift. The chairs slow down to load, then speed up on the cable. These are the lifts to build your day around.

Peak 9
A long climb on a double.

Peak 8
Slow, but worth it.
The 6-Chair is a double that serves the Back Bowls. It's slow, but it keeps the crowds down and the bowls are some of the best black terrain at Breck.
Peak 8
About seven minutes.
It's one of the longer SuperChair rides, about 6 minutes 50 seconds from the Peak 8 base to Vista Haus, according to skiresort.info. It's a six-pack, so the line moves quickly even when it looks long.

Book online before you arrive and pick your gear up in town the evening before. The morning rush at the base shops can eat your first hour, and booking ahead can be cheaper.
Breck is on the Epic Pass. Buying a ticket at the window on the day is the most expensive way up the hill, so buy ahead online or look at an Epic Day Pass if you're here for a few days.
