Town
A ski resort with a real town attached
Most big Colorado resorts were built from scratch. Breck was a gold-mining town for a hundred years before the first lift went in, and the ski area grew up on the hill right behind it. That's why the base areas are so close to Main Street, and why you can ski back into town at the end of the day.
There are three base areas, on Peaks 7, 8 and 9, all linked to town by the free gondola, the free buses or a short walk. Beyond Breck, Frisco, Silverthorne, Dillon, Keystone and Blue River are all a short drive or a free bus ride away.

Book online before you arrive and pick your gear up in town the evening before. The morning rush at the base shops can eat your first hour, and booking ahead can be cheaper.
Lift tickets & the Epic Pass
Breck is on the Epic Pass. Buying a ticket at the window on the day is the most expensive way up the hill, so buy ahead online or look at an Epic Day Pass if you're here for a few days.
