The lake town
Dillon sits on the shore of Dillon Reservoir, between Frisco, Silverthorne and Keystone. The reservoir belongs to Denver Water, which calls it its largest water storage facility, and it's the big blue lake you see from the top of Imperial.
The original town was flooded to build the reservoir and dam. A few buildings were moved to the new town, including the one that's now the Arapahoe Cafe & Pub.
