About this lift
The Imperial SuperChair
The Imperial SuperChair is the highest chairlift in North America, topping out at 12,840 feet. It's a high-speed quad with 939 feet of vertical, and it serves nothing easier than a black: Imperial Bowl, Imperial Ridge and the chutes below the summit, with the Lake Chutes and Snow White rated extreme terrain.
From the top, a short hike takes you to the Peak 8 summit at 12,998 feet. The view is the reason a lot of people ride it at least once, even if they come straight back down Imperial Ridge.

Tips
- It often opens later than the rest of the mountain, and it’s one of the first lifts to close in high wind.
- Check the Peak 8 webcam before heading up. If the summit is in cloud, the bowls will be in flat light.
- The 6-Chair drops you close to its base.

Ski & snowboard rental
Book online before you arrive and pick your gear up in town the evening before. The morning rush at the base shops can eat your first hour, and booking ahead can be cheaper.
Lift tickets & the Epic Pass
Breck is on the Epic Pass. Buying a ticket at the window on the day is the most expensive way up the hill, so buy ahead online or look at an Epic Day Pass if you're here for a few days.
