Getting here

From DEN to the slopes

Almost everyone arrives through Denver International Airport. It's about 100 miles from Breck, and in good conditions you'll be there in around two hours. In bad conditions, or on a Saturday morning in February, it can take a lot longer.

You don't need a car once you're here. Getting here is another matter. For two people, a shuttle is simpler. For a family of five with ski bags, a hire car may work out cheaper.

Options

Five ways to get here

Hire car

About 1 hr 45 min, often more.

The resort puts the drive at 97 miles and about an hour and three-quarters from Denver. Take I-70 west to exit 203 at Frisco, then Highway 9 south into Breck. Colorado's traction law applies on I-70 from September 1 to May 31, so get a car with the right tires.

Our tip: Westbound I-70 peaks from 8am to 10am on Saturdays, and eastbound from about 3pm to 6pm on Sundays. Leave after 7pm on a Sunday if you can.

Epic Mountain Express

The resort’s partner shuttle.

Runs from DEN to Breck and Keystone roughly every hour through the winter, from November 15, 2026 to April 30, 2027. Allow about two hours, more on weekends and holidays. Book at least 48 hours ahead. Epic Pass holders get a discount.

Other shuttles

Summit Express and Peak 1 Express.

Both run shared and private shuttles from DEN to Breck. In spring 2026, shared fares started at around $49 to $50 per person each way to a station drop-off, with door-to-door costing more.

Uber and Lyft

Fine on the way up.

Uber and Lyft both work in Breck, and an UberX from the airport was around $160 in 2026. Getting one back down to Denver is much less reliable, so don't count on it for your flight home.

Bustang

CDOT’s intercity bus.

Bustang runs along the I-70 corridor and connects with Summit County's free buses. The cheapest way to get here, and the slowest.
