About Peak 7
Peak 7 is where you go to ski fast on good corduroy. The Independence SuperChair, a six-pack from the Peak 7 base, serves a set of long, rolling blues that all come back to the same place, so you can lap them all morning without looking at a map. Pioneer Crossing, at the top of Independence, is the place to warm up.
The Freedom SuperChair runs from the bottom of the peak, next to the Zendo Chair that takes you over to Peak 6. Above the lifts there's a very different Peak 7: open alpine bowls like Peak 7 Bowl and Art's Bowl, reached by traversing across from the top of the Peak 8 lifts.

Good to know
- The gondola stops at the Peak 7 base, so you can get here from town without a car.
- There are no green runs on Peak 7. Beginners are better off on Peak 8 or Peak 9.
- The alpine bowls are double-black terrain with no lift of their own. Check they’re open before you head across.
- Crystal Peak Lodge and the Grand Lodge on Peak 7 sit at the base.

Ski & snowboard rental
Book online before you arrive and pick your gear up in town the evening before. The morning rush at the base shops can eat your first hour, and booking ahead can be cheaper.
Lift tickets & the Epic Pass
Breck is on the Epic Pass. Buying a ticket at the window on the day is the most expensive way up the hill, so buy ahead online or look at an Epic Day Pass if you're here for a few days.
The Friday snow email
One short email a week in season: what fell, what's open, and where to ride this weekend.
