Peak 9

Closest to town, best for learning

Peak 9 has two small base areas next to each other. The Village is at the bottom of Quicksilver, and Beaver Run is at the bottom of the Beaver Run SuperChair. It's the base closest to Main Street, and it suits everyone from first-timers to experts heading for Peak 10.

It's also our favourite place to start a busy morning. Most of the crowd goes to Peak 8.

Peak 9

What’s at the Peak 9 base

Quicksilver SuperChair

Where beginners start.

The Quicksilver learning carpets and the Quicksilver SuperChair are at the Village side of the Peak 9 base. Quicksilver only serves green runs, which is why the resort calls Peak 9 one of the best places to learn to ski and ride.

Beaver Run SuperChair

The way up for intermediates.

A few minutes along, the Beaver Run SuperChair leaves from Beaver Run Resort. It has more vertical than any other chairlift at Breck, and it's the quickest way to the Peak 9 blues and on to Mercury, the C-Chair and Peak 10.

Lessons, rentals and tickets

Close to town.

Peak 9 has lessons, rentals and lift ticket services, and it's the closest base to downtown and Main Street. You can walk here from much of town.

The Maggie, Coppertop and more

Breakfast to après.

The Maggie does breakfast, lunch and après with live music. The Coppertop Bar at Beaver Run has a big patio. Quandary Tequila Bistro and Base Nine Bar are nearby too. See best après.

Beaver Run lot and F Lot

Slopeside, but not cheap.

The Beaver Run lot is slopeside and cost $45 a day at peak times in 2025–26. F Lot on South Park Avenue is a walk away. The Free Ride buses from the Ice Rink drop-off also run to Peak 9. See our parking guide.

Beaver Run, Village and Gravity Haus

Slopeside beds.

Beaver Run Resort is right next to its lift. The Village at Breckenridge and Gravity Haus are at the base of Peak 9 too. See our ski-in, ski-out guide.

Quick tip

Ski & snowboard rental

Book online before you arrive and pick your gear up in town the evening before. The morning rush at the base shops can eat your first hour, and booking ahead can be cheaper.

Quick tip

Lift tickets & the Epic Pass

Breck is on the Epic Pass. Buying a ticket at the window on the day is the most expensive way up the hill, so buy ahead online or look at an Epic Day Pass if you're here for a few days.

The Friday snow email

One short email a week in season: what fell, what's open, and where to ride this weekend.
