Ratings are relative to Breck, not to other resorts. A Breck blue at 11,500 feet can feel harder than the same pitch lower down, especially in flat light. Terrain parks have their own size ratings, marked on the map.

The five peaks

  • Peak 6Above-treeline bowls off the Kensho SuperChair, plus hike-to terrain.
  • Peak 7Long, rolling groomers off the Independence SuperChair. Gondola stop at the base.
  • Peak 8The hub: the Colorado SuperChair, the Imperial SuperChair and the high bowls, with the main base area.
  • Peak 9Mellow blues up top and beginner terrain at the base, with the North Chutes for experts.
  • Peak 10Steep blacks and glades off the Falcon SuperChair.

Quick tip

Ski & snowboard rental

Book online before you arrive and pick your gear up in town the evening before. The morning rush at the base shops can eat your first hour, and booking ahead can be cheaper.

Quick tip

Lift tickets & the Epic Pass

Breck is on the Epic Pass. Buying a ticket at the window on the day is the most expensive way up the hill, so buy ahead online or look at an Epic Day Pass if you're here for a few days.
