Park in town, ride up for free

The town station of the free BreckConnect Gondola is on Watson Avenue, at the north-west edge of downtown, with the North and South Gondola parking lots right across from it. For most people driving in for the day, this is where the ski day starts.

The lots are paid and they fill up early at weekends. If you don't mind a short bus ride, the free lot on McCain Drive saves you the parking fee.

Parking at the gondola

North and South Gondola lots

Right by the station.

The two big lots across from the town station. In 2025–26 they cost $29 a day at peak times and $18 off-peak, with hourly rates after 3pm and a discount for cars with four or more people. No parking from 2am to 6am.

Our tip: Get there before 8am on weekends and holidays, when the lots fill up.

Gold Rush lot

When the gondola lots are full.

An in-town overflow lot with a shuttle to the gondola, at the same rates as the gondola lots.

McCain Drive lot

Free, with a bus to the gondola.

The free skier lot on McCain Drive at the north end of town, open 6am to 11pm. The Free Ride Red and Green routes run to the gondola.

Short-stay zones

For dropping people and skis.

There are 15-minute drop-off spaces on the east side of the South Gondola lot, and a 20-minute zone entered from Watson Avenue.

Up to Peak 7 and Peak 8

Free, about 10 minutes.

The gondola stops at Peak 7 and ends at Peak 8. It's free, it runs all day in winter and you don't need a lift ticket to ride it. More on our gondola page.

Quick tip

Ski & snowboard rental

Book online before you arrive and pick your gear up in town the evening before. The morning rush at the base shops can eat your first hour, and booking ahead can be cheaper.

Quick tip

Lift tickets & the Epic Pass

Breck is on the Epic Pass. Buying a ticket at the window on the day is the most expensive way up the hill, so buy ahead online or look at an Epic Day Pass if you're here for a few days.

The Friday snow email

One short email a week in season: what fell, what's open, and where to ride this weekend.
