Breckenridge Peak 8 webcam
This live stream sits in the trees on Peak 9 and looks across at the upper slopes of Peak 8: the open, above-treeline terrain where the Imperial SuperChair and the T-Bar go. It's the best cam for seeing what's happening up high.
Peak 8 tops out at 12,998 feet, and the Imperial SuperChair is the highest chairlift in North America at 12,840 feet. Conditions there can be completely different from the bottom of the mountain.

What this webcam can tell you
- Cloud on the summit. If the top of Peak 8 is hidden, the bowls will be in flat light or whiteout.
- Wind. Snow streaming off the ridgelines means strong wind up high, and the highest lifts may be on hold.
- Snow on the high terrain. Early in the season you can see how much cover the bowls have.
How to use it
Check this before committing to the upper mountain. Clear and calm means it's a good day for the bowls. Cloud or blowing snow means sticking to the groomers on Peak 7 or Peak 9 until it clears.
Then confirm on the resort's lift & terrain status page, since high-alpine lifts often open later than the rest.

Ski & snowboard rental
Book online before you arrive and pick your gear up in town the evening before. The morning rush at the base shops can eat your first hour, and booking ahead can be cheaper.
