What we collect, and what we don’t
Breck360 is an independent guide to Breckenridge, Colorado. You can read every page without an account. The only personal detail we ask for is your email address, and only if you sign up for the newsletter. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.
Newsletter sign-up
When you sign up for the Friday snow email, the address you enter is sent through FormSubmit, a form-to-email service, to our own email inbox. We use it only to send the newsletter and never sell or share it. FormSubmit handles the message in transit under its own terms. To unsubscribe or have your address deleted, reply to any newsletter or write to info@shredbreck.com.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify’s servers receive technical information when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for, so they can deliver the site and keep it secure. See Netlify’s privacy policy.
Outside services that load on our pages
Some content comes straight from other services, so your browser connects to them and they receive your IP address and browser details:
- Google Fonts for the site’s typefaces (Google privacy policy).
- Wikimedia Commons for the photos (Wikimedia privacy policy).
- The National Weather Service (api.weather.gov) and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service for live weather and snow data.
- Breckenridge Ski Resort and Vail Resorts image servers for the snow stake camera and the trail map, and Brownrice for the live webcam players. The webcam players may set their own cookies.
- Google Maps, where a page shows a map.
Cookies and storage
Breck360 itself doesn’t set cookies. To keep the live weather pages quick, your browser stores the latest forecast for up to 20 minutes in its session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. It never leaves your device.
Analytics and advertising
We don’t use analytics or advertising tools at the moment. If we add them, we’ll update this page first and explain what they collect and how to opt out.
Children
The site isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
The only personal information we hold is your email address if you signed up or wrote to us. To see it, change it or have it deleted, or for any privacy question, write to info@shredbreck.com.
Changes
We’ll update this page when anything changes and change the date at the top.

How affiliate links work here
Some links on Breck360 may be affiliate links. If you click one and book or buy something, the company may pay us a small commission. You don’t pay anything extra.
We mark these links where they appear. A commission never decides what we write: runs, lifts, lodging areas and tips are chosen because we think they’re useful, and we only describe a product or service as one we use if we actually do.
When a partner link is clicked, that partner may set its own cookies to record that you came from Breck360. Their privacy policies apply to anything you do on their sites.
Independence
Breck360 is independent. We’re not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Breckenridge Ski Resort, Vail Resorts or the Town of Breckenridge. Resort names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to describe the resort.
