Double black runs on Peak 6
This is what Peak 6 is for. Looking up from the bottom, a long row of chutes drops off the ridge to the left of Kensho, from Sanctuary and Respite at the far end to Chi and Irie near the lift. To the right are Breathless and Wonderland, and a short hike from the top of the chair gets you to Beyond Bowl.
Serenity Bowl, Six Senses and South Col are rated extreme terrain (EX), a step beyond double black. All of it is avalanche terrain that ski patrol opens and closes day by day, so only go in through open gates.

Ski & snowboard rental
Book online before you arrive and pick your gear up in town the evening before. The morning rush at the base shops can eat your first hour, and booking ahead can be cheaper.
Lift tickets & the Epic Pass
Breck is on the Epic Pass. Buying a ticket at the window on the day is the most expensive way up the hill, so buy ahead online or look at an Epic Day Pass if you're here for a few days.
The Friday snow email
One short email a week in season: what fell, what's open, and where to ride this weekend.
