About Peak 8
Peak 8 is the middle of Breck, in every sense. The main base area is here, along with the gondola, the ski school, the biggest terrain park and the busiest lifts. The Colorado SuperChair takes you up to Vista Haus, and from there you can reach almost anything on the mountain.
It's also where Breck gets high. The Imperial SuperChair tops out at 12,840 feet, the highest chairlift in North America, with a hike to the summit at 12,998 feet. Below it, the Horseshoe Bowl T-Bar and the 6-Chair serve the steep bowls and the Back Bowls. And 4 O'Clock, the longest run on the mountain at 3.5 miles, starts on Peak 8 and finishes in town.

Good to know
- Ski school and the main learning area are at the Peak 8 base, with Rip’s Ride and the Five SuperChair for beginners.
- Freeway, Breck’s large terrain park, runs down the lower mountain.
- At the end of the day, Lower 4 O’Clock takes you back to town. It’s often quicker than waiting for the gondola down.
- The Imperial SuperChair and the T-Bar often open later than the lower lifts, especially after storms.

Ski & snowboard rental
Book online before you arrive and pick your gear up in town the evening before. The morning rush at the base shops can eat your first hour, and booking ahead can be cheaper.
Lift tickets & the Epic Pass
Breck is on the Epic Pass. Buying a ticket at the window on the day is the most expensive way up the hill, so buy ahead online or look at an Epic Day Pass if you're here for a few days.
